A quickie

Seeing as things have been a bit busy lately and I am missing having the luxury of writing long, luxurious blog posts, I've decided to do a few quickies just to keep things ticking along.

Like the previous post, this is a postcrossing postcard. It arrived a few weeks ago, and was sent to me from Kaella in Massachusetts. I love it! I was a Nancy Drew fan as a girl and now my daughter is an avid fan. This authentic copy of a book cover from 1945 really captures the wonderful spirit that was in these books... and the hint of danger just around the corner. Of course, there was never any real danger but it always kept me on the edge of my seat anyway. I remember that I used to go around imagining there were mysteries to solve in my own neighbourhood. Wow... I kind of miss having that kind of imagination!

Ok, back to my assignment now...

Love from Kaz

  2. These Nancy Drew cards are fantastic. I have a set, and every time I send one I wish I were receiving it :)

  3. I was an avid reader (I won MEDALLIONS and things in the MS Readathon... people didn't want to sponsor me after they realised they'd have to cough up considerable sums, haha) but never read Nancy Drew. This cover makes me want to give it a go, though!

  5. Chronicle Books has some Nancy Drew stationery, including postcards. I love their postcard sets.

  6. I was thinking that too, PostMuse. I was an avid Nancy Drew reader too -- and I still love mysteries.
