Letter-writing milestones II

I was v. excited to get my first postcrossing postcards this week. They are just so random! I rather think that the people behind postcrossing are quite genius to have worked out how to create this system  - and keep it going. I seem to have a nice steady flow now of postcards leaving and postcards arriving. It feels quite rhythmic.

My very first one arrived from Kimberly in Malibu - beachy!

And these two arrived on the same day: Historic Birmingham from Marcela in the UK; and The big escape from Stefan in Germany.

They have now joined my collection of random photos and cards on my kitchen wall. I am very, very pleased.... and looking forward to a wall that is chock-full of postcards from all around the world!

Are you into postcrossing too?

Love from Kaz

  1. Ha! I've been negligent here--haven't been back in a while, but I love that you are getting post cards from all over the world! I feel like I have gotten lazy with the hand written thing, much as I love them, but I still love getting them!

  2. Well, thanks for dropping by again. :-) Yes, I'm loving postcrossing, though it's quite different to real letter-writing. I think it satisfies me in other ways... like making friendly connections around the world, promoting peace and understanding, getting beautiful/quirky postcards to post on my wall. It's all good.

  3. Hi there!
I love Postcrossing, and the wide variety of cards that come, bringing their little smiles...

  4. Indeed! Who would have thought such a simple thing could bring such pleasure? I think I have become addicted. As soon as I get a message to say one of my cards has been received, I'm straight onto the website to get a new address to send to, and I do my best to send it off that day.
