Last night, I dreamt about mail. It was a good dream, but it had a warning in it too, and when I woke up I realised my subconscious was strongly suggesting that I invest in a post office box... just to keep my home address off the internet. I can kind of see the sense of that, so I listened... and today I went and got myself a post office box.
If you all ready have my home address, that's fine - you can continue to use it. But for anyone who hasn't written to me before, the new address is PO Box 780, Yass, NSW, 2582, Australia. It's also in my profile, if you need to find it again later.
I am rather hoping that my post office box gets so full of lovely, interesting mail that the post office staff start to ask questions...

ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for doing this at all - especially beacuse it gives you peace of mind. I have a letter to send to you but got your address off the good mail day post, should I send to your PO Box instead?

ReplyDeleteYes, Es, peace of mind and also peace from my Mum. I suddenly thought, what would my Mum say if she knew I had my actual address on the internet - and that decided it! Ooh, I'd forgotten that I put my actual address on the good mail day blog... I'll see if I can get it changed. In the meantime, Es, I reckon I can trust you with my home address. Looking forward so much to getting your letter.

I have been considering a Post Office Box for a while. I had one a few years ago when I lived elsewhere and it was quite nice. Being at the post office often also encouraged me to write more letters.
